Coastal Carts Gives Back by donating new cart to Camp Challenge

Coastal Carts, a locally owned and operated golf cart,  power equipment sales, service, parts  and rental business,  recently donated a utility cart to the Florida Easter Seals Camp Challenge, a  week- long fully accessible overnight or day camp for children and adults with disabilities or special needs.

Coastal Carts owner Don Imbus learned of the camp’s need from one of his employees and decided to help the cause by providing a much needed piece of equipment. “Coastal Carts is a community partner and has helped many charitable organizations over the years and are proud and humbled to be able to assist Camp Challenge.”

“The utility cart donated to Camp Challenge through the generosity of Coastal Carts will allow our medical team to have faster access to campers in the case of an emergency. The camp encompasses 63 acres – much of it fairly wooded and while there are paved paths throughout the facility in an emergency seconds can count and the golf cart will allow for a much more expedited response. Currently there is one golf cart shared by medical, program staff and maintenance. During the day the medical staff responds any issues or emergencies by foot. Now they will have their own cart for dedicated medical use only.” stated Maggie Ryon MS, LMHC, Camp Director.
